...awakening to the possibilities...
Annie Scheppach - M.S. & Certified Holistic Health Counselor
  …awakening to the possibilities…

Annie’s 6th year being in Maya Tulum, she first experimented with yoga 13 years ago. She noticed subtle changes, such as less muscle tension and pain in her body.  Then she discovered  Svaroopa Yoga® at the beach and during her first class  thought, “I’m not doing anything; how can this be doing me any good”…and then the class was over and she glimpsed for the first time the “bliss of her own being”. What a realization that the answers, the healing, and the gifts were not in the doing but in the being. It was easy to decide to take Svaroopa® style yoga teacher training at Master Yoga Academy.  Since 2000 she has taught in California and Northern Virginia and more recently, internationally.  Annie loves inspiring her students softly and gently to open to the healing and transformation that they may be consciously or unconsciously seeking while at the same time, supporting them in releasing life long habits that no longer serve them. In 2005 she was certified as a Stillpoint Life Healing Coach and as a certified Holistic Health Educator/Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City.

You are an amazing teacher -- patient, knowledgeable, and persistent. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be your pupil. Jo, 2011

A session with Annie will change your life forever.  After many years, I have finally found "the perfect" activity to keep my body toned and flexible and my mind "open" to new possibilities.

11 Women:  An Invitation

Do you know in your deep heart that you would like to slow your pace? Do you feel you are being nudged to pause, reflect, and make mid-life shifts?  Would you love to be in a nourishing sacred safe environment with other women to consider the next stage of your life, to share your dreams? We will talk about our growing wisdom, friendships, loved ones, and our service to the world as women.  We will create together these 7-10 days...as we live them, gently opening and letting go...days that will also include nourishing yourself with healthy tasty foods, meditation, even some sunrise gatherings, journaling, daily late afternoon yoga in the Svaroopa® style (Svaroopa is an extraordinary yoga that gently opens and strengthens the body at the same time for both experienced yoginis or beginners).  Or alone time may be exactly what you desire, and time to do nothing, and rest afterward, as a Spanish proverb says. And all of this is accompanied by lots of laughter that arises when women have enjoyed shared experiences. Now picture your light-filled room, feel the warm sea in January, listen to the gentle breezes, swing in a hammock, enjoy  the best massages ever, or visit ancient Mayan ruins.  Choose to take this leap into 2012.

What Guests Are Saying:

Annie, I'm breathing in the light you shed, remembering a wonderful
time.  Thank you for everything.  I feel so fortunate to have had a
week full of opening and love.  BB, February  2011

For the past two years I have gone to Maya Tulum for the express purpose to unplug, evaluate and rejuvenate.  With each trip my expectations have  wildly exceeded any and all of what I could have imagined for myself.  I very much appreciated the opportunity to practice Svaroopa yoga,  which promotes attentiveness to self  while encouraging both healing and transformation. So, if you are interested in stepping out of your everyday life in order to gain greater insight to yourself or, to just take a moment to truly breathe, then a yoga retreat at Maya Tulum is the place for you.  Pita, 2011
